Looking on wayfair.com I wasn't able to find any of the pictured storage cabinets. I started just searching random female names on Wayfair and it seems there is a piece of home decor junk for every female name.

Alright, he says the pricing does seem weird to him, but he doesn't work in that department so he can't comment on that. The reason there are names added seemingly randomly is Wayfair will randomly add names of employees who work at the company to products as like a fun little Easter egg. I'll let you know if I learn any more.

I thought all the female named products were because only women shop at Wayfair and no woman is going to buy a tea cozy named Dale ?

But that explanation does make more sense.

There are thousands of missing kids, and thousands of employees. I don't know what's gong on at wayfair beyond what my friend tells me so idk. Maybe there is secret child sex trafficking happening at wayfair but coincidences happen all the time and I think it's more likely there's just some dumb e-commerce algorithmic thing happening here.

It explicitly tells you that thees "names" refer to some cases where the children were found dead. Also, Wayfair insists the prices are correct on their industrial grade products.

Is it reasonable to believe that a prominent company was actively and conspicuously selling child sex slaves on their website, available for all to see? Or, is it more reasonable to believe it was a mistake or a coincidence?

Maybe it’s someone trying to expose methods that traffickers and exploit groups use to advertise. Maybe it’s a fake version of something that is really going on so they can point at this and say, “well the wayfair thing was fake” when people notice something else like this later on

I'm just fascinated by the logistics of it more than anything. How do they prevent accidentally sending a girl to someone who thought they were just buying a storage cabinet? It would be a pretty big scandal if someone ordered a storage cabinet and then it showed up with a missing girl inside it.

I doubt it's likely a normal person would buy a $10,000 zodiac pillow but you're doing something incredibly illegal that will definitely get lots of people in jail for life if it's found out so you would have to ensure only the right people get the, um, full delivery. You would have to set up some pretty good precautions.

A cryptic email you have to reply to with exactly the right password sounds about right.

No. I'm trying to figure out how the conspiracy could work. Like "if it was real, how would this actually work?" Where does the money go? How are the children trafficked? That sort of thing.

To me whether it's real or not isn't the interesting part. The interesting part is trying to figure out how this would even work.
