A team at Henry Ford Health System in southeast Michigan said Thursday their study of 2,541 hospitalized patients found that those given hydroxychloroquine were much less likely to die.
Dr. Marcus Zervos, division head of infectious disease for Henry Ford Health System, said 26% of those not given hydroxychloroquine died, compared to 13% of those who got the drug. The team looked back at everyone treated in the hospital system since the first patient in March.
"Overall crude mortality rates were 18.1% in the entire cohort, 13.5% in the hydroxychloroquine alone group, 20.1% among those receiving hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin, 22.4% among the azithromycin alone group, and 26.4% for neither drug," the team wrote in a report published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.

It's sad to think that the fake news media hates trump so much they they'll all go along together to deny that a drug works and put 1000s maybe millions of lives in danger.

That's a small price to pay for another few months of "Orange Man Bad" outrage clickbait.

"Researchers not involved in the Henry Ford study pointed out it wasn't of the same quality of the studies showing hydroxychloroquine did not help patients, and said other treatments, such as the use of the steroid dexamethasone, might have accounted for the better survival of some patients"
It always helps to read beyond the headline.

I wonder what other factors are involved. I'd imagine the hospitals giving hydroxychloroquine are generally more willing to try experimental treatments. I wonder what else they're doing.

So what you're saying is that OP failed to read the article he cited.
How ironic.

Headlines should be banned tbh. They are always inflammatory and the only things people read. All news articles should just begin with the first word of the article.

You should really prove his words right, give it a shot, bud.

Let's not go that far. OP's stupidity is no excuse for censorship.

Oh my god you dipshits...
Trump was in no way "right" in any of this.
There is still no scientific consensus that hydroxychloroquine is safe or effective. The WHO has suspended trials due to safety concerns and the FDA has withdrawn emergency approval for the same reason.
This is one study... there were many others that disagree with this one. The article you linked to says that.
People weren't opposing Trump's dangerous medical "advice" because they hate Trump. They recognized, rather, that the preliminary data did not support blanket edicts that people just start taking some random drug based on some weirdo family doctor (pictured).
And why the fuck did Trump take this shit on a preventive basis? No one knows, except that perhaps his doctor was trying to actively kill him with an adverse cardiac event.
In a fast-moving crisis, there is always going to be conflicting and bad data. It's not the role of the President to peddle his theories while the experts sort out the best way to deal with a very novel disease.
I'm still waiting for that vaccine and/or for the virus to simply "disappear" and/or for any support, from anyone except for the weirdo family doctor (pictured), that people should attend rallies or not wear masks right now.
Fucking morons
