Uh huh and you can continue to complain every time he fails you and your fellow citizens when you need help, while your dogmatic support for him never wavers.

Has daddy Trump given you your second stimulus check yet?

You know, for the first time, a small part of me hopes he wins, just because it would be so personally devastating to you if he does lose. Your entire life is wrapped up in him that I don't know how you'll cope with it when Diamond Joe Biden blunders and forgets his way all the way to the White House.

I won't forget my way home. That's why I hire a chauffeur. And, ummm, what's that thingy called you put on the dash of your car for directions... PMS... No, that's not it... Uhhhh.... Anyway, as president, I will not sniff anyone's hair or be creepy.

The funny thing about this is that in order to make Biden sound like a confused imbecile, you had to make something up, whereas with Trump, we can simply quote him word for word:

"Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.”

Yeah I never got this line of attack. Biden is known for gaffes and saying dumb random shit. He's been in politics for a million years and everyone knows that's just how he is. However bad he is, Trump is much worse on that front as well. It's like if two sumo wrestlers ran for office and one of them took out an attack ad on the other for being fat. It's just dumb and indicates that they have no coherent strategy at all. Here's a recent quote from Trump on what his second term would look like. It's just a big jumbled mess of nothing. Almost everything he says that isn't a pre-written speech is this bad as well.

I read an article a while ago that basically said that this rambling style sounds much better when it's heard instead of read, and heard by someone who's sympathetic to his nationalistic appeals to emotion.

I'm not defending him, exactly. This style of speaking is abnormal and weird. But it's not without merit, apparently. The whole reason I Googled it in the first place was that I too could not believe that people were drawn in by speeches that, when transcribed, look like the meandering ramblings of an unstable lunatic.

Not all things need to be made up. He does a good job of making himself look like an ass by himself.

I think the angle Trump's going to play is Biden being creepy (sniffing hair, nibbling on his wife, etc). Gaffes definitely won't work. I think Trump's intelligent but not very articulate and about ten years past his prime. Biden's in the same situation. I really don't like gerontocracy (even when it's my guy) and I would like to see more candidates in their 40s and 50s.

Trump is no Reagan, that's for sure. But he did show populism is viable and an untapped market with a lot of potential.

The worst part is, OP might actually be right. I mean, the polls were all in Hillary's favor back in 2016, yet Strump still won the erection.
