> The Censored Eleven is a group of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons originally produced and released by Warner Bros. that were withheld from syndication in the United States by United Artists (UA) in 1968. UA owned the distribution rights to the Associated Artists Productions library at that time and decided to pull these eleven cartoons from broadcast because the use of ethnic stereotypes in the cartoons, specifically African stereotypes, was deemed too offensive for contemporary audiences.
A private company stops syndicating cartoons that they own the copyright to because they are allegedly "racist". This happened 11 years after Joe McCarthy died and 23 years after the end of WWII. How is this related to either McCarthy or the war??
All of these were 1) decades after the death of Joe McCarthy and the end of WWII, and 2) were "banned" by private companies which by your definition of the word is not "censorship". None were banned by the government.
