Much of it is Chinese/Asian culture. They are willing to take instruction from experts, and to respect others in the community. Korea is a multi-party democracy, and they also shut down Covid quickly. It is the Asian mindset in my opinion.

They had a lockdown, but people are not arrested on the spot in China. Local police rarely enforce laws in China unless Beijing makes them. Chinese police are much more likely to yell at you than to arrest you.

- Has introduced a disturbing social credit scheme which, among other things, can ban children from certain schools, bars people from public transport, and publicly shames people with low scores.
- Banned a movie because they were worried people would make fun of their leader

Update: I applied it to my teeth and it made my gums bleed like crazy and it tasted extremely sour, also my teeth feel kind of fuzzy now when I scrape them against each other. They are however, whiter.
