A "knife" is a tool you use to cut things. Everyone owns a few. Some are specialized for a particular task like a fillet knife or a diving knife or whatever. A "Tactical Knife" is a paperweight purchased by obese lonely middle aged men to try to fill the void in their soul with mindless consumerism. Serrated is the appropriate word here. It is much more specific and descriptive than "jagged cutting edge", which leaves you with questions (how big are the jags? How spaced out? Are they uniform or of random sizes?). Only a fool would dispute that. Just admit you forgot the word "serrated" when you made that post. That's understandable. Doubling down just makes you look silly.

More for general utility. They come in handy a lot. Usually a Buck 110. I like the nice solid wood and brass construction.

The guy, Mitchell Erickson, was robbed at gunpoint by two "teens". Here's how he handled it: the young gentlemen asked Erickson for his car keys, he gave them his house keys instead. Unable to open the car with the keys, they got confused, gave up, and stole someone else's car.

Erickson isn't getting fired for this, his picture isn't going to be front page on the NYT for months, his mugshot isn't going to be on CNN. He still has his job, his life, and his car.

It is impractical. Glass-breakers are usually a tad larger. The force required to break the glass isn't ideal in an item that small. Also those sort of ballpoint pens are often seen as disposable (sure you can replace the ink cartridge, but usually you need to buy another pen and take the cartridge from it) which makes it a bizarre place to put a glass-breaker. It's just bizarre and totally designed to sucker in mall-ninjas and middle-class suburbanites who want to think of themselves as preppers
