There are birds nesting in the eaves here and sometimes the babies fall out and die. One fell out but was still alive, trying (and failing) to move so i had to make my boyfriend crush it :(

by birds outside, do you mean within earshot? because that could be one hell of a big radius if we are talking anything in the corvid family or gulls.
