I like the idea and I think they should expand it a bit, build a wall around it, and the government should officially declare it a free zone outside the jurisdiction of any state or federal law enforcement. I would like to see more such zones, with some ideological diversity (eg, a commie one, an AnCap one, basically any kind of separatist movement).
These will allow people to do what they want without being harassed by the state (you want heroin and prostitutes? just go to the autonomous zone!) and also serve as an experiment for different ideologies.
While I like the idea of autonomous zones, I don't like the idea of commies and I hope CHAZ turning into a squalid, starving, disease-ridden shithole will show people the total failure and ideological bankruptcy of the dumpster fire that is marxism.
