Probably for the best. The threats of violence and bringing family members into it was going a bit far.
Hey, remember when Bert used to get enraged at Syntax mentioning his personal details, but now thinks he should be able to do it with impunity himself?

Could this perhaps be the first ever example of bert being a hypocrite?

Also, if Triptych wasn't laughing it off and the threats weren't obviously empty, then a longer ban would have been warranted IMO. Hopefully he can cool down and go back to be the loveable poster that we all enjoy.

Too short. He needs a week or two off to realise he was being a true dick

That assumes Bert learns things and adapts his behaviour accordingly. He doesn't. He has 2 states: sober (mildly funny and generally ok) and drunk (angry and violent). That won't change no matter the length of the ban.

I always liked how he would totally lose his temper, over the most inane things.

His own life frustrated him to the point of random angry outbursts.

I like how adamant he is about sticking to what he thinks is right. No matter how wrong it is, and how wrong other people prove it to be. I also like that he thinks Fake Anon is some kind of secret forum puppet master, who constantly convinces other mods to go against what he thinks is right.

Lol yes, he is the most thick skulled person ever. It would be sort of endearing if he were dedicated to a good cause or something, but mostly he just spends his time ranting about "liberalcrats" and threatening to kill and/or rape women so...?
And yeah if only he could look into my heart and see how little I give a shit about what other mods here think or do. I am not remotely motivated to do 75% of the shit he thinks I do, and it wouldn't be something that made any sense to do in the first place. What can we do with him?

If only he could understand you are far too busy playing vidjya and trying to find a nice Jewess.
I don't know that there is anything we can do for/with him. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. At least we can get some occasional amusement from him.
