Was this another instance of Meta assigning names?

He sometimes refers to himself as Bert, and Matt and Syntax call him Bert too. So I think that was just his name on Bianca's, which was a weird forum that those three all posted on before they came here.

I tried searching for the earliest references to Bert, and it seems that even in the earlier days he didn't have a good reputation:

In fact, I'd say it is worse. It's gone from "Bert hates pedos" to "Bert is a confirmed pedo".
