Are you objecting to them buying things, or buying frivolous things, or buying things from that retailer, or buying things while being black, or buying things based on a perceived judgement of low income? I don't understand

Why would someone take a picture of their receipt if not for insurance or budget purposes? What kind of nerd takes a picture of their receipt to show people?

To me, this response shows your privilege
1. Referencing race isn't racist and you implying such shows the idea that you "don't skin see color"
2. In many places (especially urban communities) They only have chain stores. Do you want them to drive 50 miles to buy a $20 handbag?
3. Many people with low income lives have way less options regarding manifesting happiness. Retail therapy is valid and not automatically negative
3. Sexism. Men heavily judge women on their shopping habits, when they themselves consume equally in different ways. I wonder, do you watch porn? Most males do, and I see that as being way more harmful
4. It's fucking Tj Maxx. They probably spent $70 bucks and it helps the economy
1. Derailing a thread into an argument about black people is berting because their being black isn't relevant to the topic of this thread. The microcosm of this thread doesn't represent my wider views of black people.
2. I don't want them to buy disposable fashion at all. I want people to be less resource-wasteful and frivolous.
3. I won't be lectured on living with a low income. Retail therapy is a sham that is promoted by capitalists to suck up the wealth. Material goods cannot bring you happiness. Retail Therapy takes advantage of human paychology to trick people into feeling like it makes them happy, so they keep coming back for more and more and more.
3(2). It's not just women that buy into the false idea that giving away what little they have to corporations will bring them happiness. I never implied that it was. Capitalist propaganda ignores sex.
4. They spent £550, although it's not really relevant to the topic either. Fuck the economy, it is a method of waging class war that has the side-effect of ruining the environment. Thanks!

Fuck the economy? You fucking commie asshole
And if race wasn't a priority in posting this, why did you pick black people and a woman? There were no pics of white guys holding up their Switches?
Retail therapy is real and valid and no less frivolous than so many forms of hobbies or entertainment
You didn't respond to the porn issue. You know what seems wholesome? two happy pocs being pleased as punch at their handbag purchases. You know what is filthy as fuck? Watching some mascara smeared woman getting facefucked for hours of the night. This thread makes you seem worse than Bert, because he doesn't pretend to be "woke"
I'm communist and proud. I hope they hang Mr T. K. Maxx from a telegraph pole. Why are you so angry that I'm including black people in my topics? I think you're the real racist here.
There are many more valid hobbies than indulging the Man. For example, gardening and promoting the revolution.
Maybe I enjoy watching mascara smeared women getting facefucked for hours, but that is what Mr Fatcat is doing to the poor of the nation every minute of every day.

I just pray that the next time you improve your mood by watching a sex trafficking victim vomiting on a cock, you would reconsider and purchase a hand bag
The fact that black people being happy as a family isn't wholesome to you, is incredibly disturbing
Once again, worse than Bert
I seem to recall my issue was the statement that they bought a lot of handbags at TK Maxx because his wife enjoys buying handbags at TK Maxx, because it implies that his wife's hobby is shopping at TK Maxx.

buying waste doesn't reduce waste. you don't protect the environment by hoarding things and saying they're not in a landfill

Reusing things can reduce waste. Especially if she would have purchased those bags new. Also she may be giving them as gifts to people who will also use them

why would bags on the sales floor at tj max be slated for landfill?
@1,178,508 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)
especially new? not used? pretty sure if you want to actually prevent something from going to landfill you'll but it used and... actually prevent it from becoming waste while not supporting manufacturers of waste

But they're buying cast offs and items with flaws that would be thrown away. Tj Maxx and Marshall's acquires things that would otherwise be binned

Same with Ross dress for less. Apparently the clothing industry is strict that brands often will mark something as a reject if it even has an extra stitch. It's not to the quality they want their brand to represent. If there wasn't a store that would re sell it, it would most likely be thrown away or a slim possibility exists that they would donate them also.

Like someone will get the "messed up" ones and whine about it online or whatever. It's pretty fucking dumb.
Remember when they found like a bunch of people with shirts that were wrong winners of sports events and stuff and the reason was that the clothing companies printed both outcomes and like ditched the losing team's merch in like Africa or something?

Is purchasing things from Goodwill encouraging things to be made? What about garage sales?
What about making your own bags? Is that encouraging textile factories to stay open?
Would the companies not instead donate the clothes to charity, or tighten up their quality control so that there are less rejected samples? TK Maxx sells more than just flawed clothes also, they buy anything they can get a good price on.
