Topic: What would such a generation be named?

Anonymous A started this discussion 5 years ago #100,545

I'm thinking the Trans Parent Generation given how they'd be the first generation to be born to transgender mothers.

I wonder if the hormones and anti rejection medicine would fuck up the fetus?
Also I wonder, would males have the space necessary to place a womb? I really don't know

I suppose they do if the article is to be believed since there is one successful case.
I would imagine HRT would be modified for such a procedure though.

Well, yeah, the article was about mtf pregnancy but I'm not sure if it's factual given how the author writing on the subject is writing a damn opinion piece.

Still, the HRT will likely be modified for such a procedure. I think some older cis women have to take HRT to try and have a baby. And it appears a similar process as seen in Junior might actually be considered. LOL

The article was about how it was successfully performed on a female, and that they've hard then, that the process will be identical for a male. I am skeptical

They'd have to alter your skeleton as well, break your pelvis and extend it out

It’s impossible, pregnancy is incredibly biologically complicated. No amount of hormones or surgery would be enough

The most likely sci fi possibility imo would be synthetic eggs that are created using the MTF partners dna that can be fertilized with male sperm same thing about synthetic sperm cells using a FTM persons dna

Why using a FTM DNA?

Anonymous F replied with this 5 years ago, 13 minutes later, 15 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,134,283

@previous (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)
Well if a female to male person wanted a baby with a bio female you would have 2 eggs and need to create sperm

I meant why a FTM instead of just a female period?

You just misread because of Anon F's lack of punctuation and odd sentence structures and typos, this is how I think it should be read

> The most likely sci fi possibility, imo, would be synthetic eggs - that are created using the DNA of the MTF person - that can be fertilized with male sperm. The same thing, in principle, can be accomplished with synthetic sperm cells using a FTM persons DNA.
