My loadout is as follows:
500gal food-grade water barrel filled w purified spring water
1 month food supply
Stout pole with bayonet
Rugged clothes x4
Anti-bite animal handling gloves x2
Compound bow
Hunting arrows
Basic survival toolkit
I examine the outdoors carefully for signs of any more zombie activity, and if there is only the one eating my neighbour's corpse, I equip my gloves, take my stout pole with bayonet and use it to destroy the zombie before the noise attracts attention.

I just remembered I had an ai dungeon game open about zombae
You are Old man Harry, a soldier trying to survive in a post apocalyptic world by scavenging among the ruins of what is left. You have an automatic rifle and a grenade. You have lived in this military bunker since the bombs went off. You wake up and report for duty to your commanding officer and do what needs to be done day in day out. The bunker is routine until one day a survivor appears. She is young and pretty, much like yourself.
> You go talk to the survivor.
You cautiously open the door to see a young woman with long blonde hair looking down at her feet. She looks up and smiles when she sees you.
"Hello there," she says cheerfully.
> You say "Hi, how are you?"
The woman looks confused for a second but then smiles again. "Oh, fine, thanks," she replies. "Can I come in?"
> You say "Yes please come in"
The woman walks into your bunker cautiously, as if it might explode at any second. She looks around and then looks at you expectantly. "So... do you want to tell me what happened?" she asks.
> You say "Yes"
You sit down next to her and tell her everything you remember about the world before the bombs fell.
> You say "Why don't you remember"
She thinks for a second and then shrugs her shoulders. "I don't know, I was probably asleep," she replies.

She looks at you confusedly "Aha?"
"The last thing I remember was an explosion while I was sleeping," you explain slowly, hoping that you have explained it clearly enough for her.
> You say "Do you want to escape from this bunker?

She thinks for a second and then nods her head slowly.
"Yes," she replies. "I would."
> You say "Neat. Me too. Let's take everything we need and leave at midnight"
She thinks for a second and then nods her head slowly.

You both go back upstairs and gather some food, water and weapons.
We wait until midnight, then sneak out and walk to the nearest town. There we find a nice house that we can use as a base and eat some food, sleep in a bed and plan our next move. After resting for the night you think about where you should go next.
You have three choices: north, east or south.
Go north and try to reach the city of Boston, east or go south and try to reach New York or Washington, both big and nice cities you could choose from.
> You say "Which way should we go?"
She thinks for a second and then shrugs her shoulders. "I don't know, any of those sound good," she replies.
You look around the room and notice that you are now surrounded by zombies.

You quickly start running towards the door when all of a sudden the zombies start moving faster towards you! They are coming from all sides and the only way out is through! What do you do?
> You shoot the zombies.
You pull out your gun and start shooting at the zombies as they come at you. Most of them fall down after 3-4 shots, however one zombie manages to reach you before falling down itself due to a shot in the head. It grabs your arm and tries bite through it. What do you do?

You shoot the zombie in the head, killing it instantly. You then look around to see if there are anymore zombies coming, but fortunately none do.

Fortunately, your companion is still alive and she is currently taking care of the last zombie that was standing near her (The one that grabbed her arm).

She turns around and looks at you. Her clothes are all torn up, she has a bloody nose and she has dirt on her face. She looks at you for a second or two and then speaks up. "My name is Cara," she replies simply before turning back around to continue fighting off the zombies.
You: Nice to meet you Cara, my name is 2-4-1.
