I've long believed there really are no secret societies because if there were we would, by definition, not know about them. You can't say the Freemasons or Skull and Bones or whatever is a "secret society" when all their rituals and membership lists and shit are on Wikipedia.

I sort of agree. I think it's very possible that super rich elite business/political people have their own little cliques/groups that 99.95% of the population will never know about. I just dont think those are remotely as useful or powerful as conspiracy theorists make them out to be.
