I am thinking AT&T or Verizon. Works best here. Who has the better family plan for minutes/data? And texting... I don't know if they have unlimited all for all of them... 3 people will be on it.

Verizon is a bit pricier than AT&T, but you do get phenomenal service pretty much everywhere.

T-Mobile doesn't have caps. I pay about 120 for unlimited text, web, nights,weekends, mobile to mobile, and 3000 anytime minutes. Two lines.

T-mobile just for calls... I've heard Cricket wireless has good deals on unlimited data etc.
I gave up cell phones in favor of a landline that came with my internet package. Feelsweirdman, I was the first person I knew to have a cell phone, and I've always had one, hell I think my number was the same almost 10 years.

The ATT T-Mobile buy out is NOT NOT NOT a done deal. DOJ and FCC have not begun the long road and lots of hurdles and massive complaints that have to be addressed.
Very few are taking AT&T's side and Gov is getting mass of snail mail flooding them at moment on this issue.

I do projects for T-Mobile but only on rare occasions do I have access to the UNIX system nor have I ever played around with it. Back when it was fully piggy backed on AT&T for the first two years ++ I did have full access cause it was really AT&T sorta rebranded but now its fully separated and I hope it stays that way.

Unlimited of course now REALLY Means - Unlimited but at limited speed of download. So in the case of Netflix it may take a very looooong tyme to download a movie IF you over use the so called unlimited plan. Frankly its the only way the system can be expected to work.

I have been to Pakistan going back to 1979 or so. At that tyme its land line service was similar to USA B4 Macaroni used noodles to connect the community and ended up leaving it stranded.

Law which is serious issue has to do with max number of people allowed in a point on Planet Earth. If say a mythical country Urabia allows 135 people from USA Gov and by chance all 135 are there and someone ELSE decides to enter - One has violated the Serious years of legal teams over arrangements to set the number. One over and all hell breaks out.
Not meaning too at all be such a person, I ended up on major shit list for just that. In fact me thinks for the rest of my travel life I will end up with a notation by my name that ends up with someone at customs always looking sharply at ME as I pass through.
So they know I have another passport and they look double close to be sure its not the wrong one. In theory one can just go around the lines and pass on through without being looked at but trust this - few places have a pass through LINE LoL

For coverage, ask to see how coverage is in your area. They have graphs and should show them to you. Don't believe their answer. I went to a tmobile reseller and he lied to me. My mom was with me and tmobile is a client of hers, so she knew they were supposed to show me the coverage map.
I looked it up at home and it was awful in my area.
