13.3% unemployment is catastrophically bad. Worst since the Great Depression. This is so stupid.

The unemployment rate in January 2017 was 4.7 percent. The unemployment rate today is 13.3 percent. It isn't suddenly great news because the unemplpoyment rate is only 8.5 percentage points higher than when he was sworn in because some people thought it would be 15 percent higher. It's still the worst job market in like 85 years.

Consider how much more emotionally rested and focused Trump could have been to manage the shitstorm if the asshats who are supposed to be pretty much on the same team but act like they're not...hadn't been nipping at his heels and harassing him day and night in their deception filled witch hunt nonstop for over three years with all their hate filled bullshit.

So the reason he did a terrible job managing this crisis is because he couldn't handle the pressure of being president while people did things that inconvenienced him? Sounds like he's pretty incompetent.

Do you think Obama was treated badly by Republicans because they would not allow more than $1 trillion in deficit spending to fight the collapse of US financial institutions, while they allow over $4 trillion of deficit spending this year alone to save Trump's presidency from a bungled pandemic response?

Until you finally stop being fucking lazy and find a job, you have no reason to complain about the unemployment rate.

compared to what? because compared to before the pandemic and compared to most other countries currently you are not doing great employment rate wise (not saying i blame trump for this entirely since it is very easy to fire ppl in the us)

mainly because you cant fire someone because of a health crisis in most of europe but still. why does usamerica always side with the rich?

the rich who possess a lot of wealth. people who spend their $1200 on TVs. companies who have never answered to the protests of their workers. etc.

according to https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/unemployment-rate the unemployment rate has gone up

I'm having a hard time understanding these numbers. It was already dropping?

Also, even poor people waste their stimulus checks on consumer goods

dw replied with this 5 years ago, 30 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #1,131,978

@previous (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)
according to these numbers (which i cant/havent bothered to verify via official sources) the unemployment rate has more than tripled before lowering slightly. my point is that trump should have prevented a 14% unemployment rate from ever occuring
