It's true. They were entrapping men on the Internet before kids had easy access. I know a guy who was arrested in 97 in a sting. They had to catch a predator stings set up before the Internet predator hysteria. It was created by the media and law enforcement. Its great PR.

Yes, if you go in a chatroom and pretend to be a young girl, you will get attention. Mostly from middle eastern guys who think all American women are whores who have sex with anyone, but some of it is just horny guys who saw on the news that young girls put out if you meet them on the internet.

The group that works with 'To catch a predator' is called Perverted Justice (lol ironic name) and they operated a website for many years before the show. They basically ruined people's lives by posting chatlogs and write-ups of how evil and perverted they are along with every scrap of dox they can find.

To be featured on perverted-justice.com, you didn't even have to go to a house, you just had to cyber with a 40 year old fat guy who claimed to be a little girl. Those PJ guys are just as sick and perverted as the people they feature on their site, and nowadays, get arrested on national television by working a loophole in the law.

TCAP can be pretty hilarious sometimes, admittedly, but have you seen the perverted justice guys they work with?! They are literally fat 40 year old men, probably getting off on the conversations. Why can't they just have the police doing the chats like in a normal sting? Oh wait, that would be entrapment, wouldn't it? I guess they get a bit of wiggle room by the entrapment being done by a temporarily deputized officer who isn't on the State's payroll.

Also, hardly any of the cases make it in court, or even make it to court at all.
They aren't actually getting anybody off the streets, just ruining people's lives.
