Serious replies only. Mods pls enforce.

And, do you prefer fiction or non-fiction? Why?

I recently finished reading "The Mammoth Book Of Cthulhu", a collection of short stories based on the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. Now I am re-reading "Rendezvous With Rama", a sci-fi classic by Arthur C. Clarke. After that, I will probably read "Rama II". My favorite fiction stories are the "Remembrance of Earth's Past" trilogy by Cixin Liu, "Eon" by Greg Bear", "Contact" by Carl Sagan, and "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" by H.P. Lovecraft.

I much prefer fiction, especially science fiction, over most forms of literature, as I just don't find other books very interesting. The only nonfiction I regularly read is books regarding theoretical physics and related topics. My favorite nonfiction books are "A Universe From Nothing" by the acclaimed theoretical physicist Lawrence M. Krauss, "Life 3.0", a book about the future of artificial intelligence by futurist Max Tegmark, and "Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid" by Douglas Hofstadter.

Yes. I've read some pulp fiction before and enjoyed it. There is a weird Canadian bestseller about a womans love affair with a bear. I almost want to try it

I was at my uncle's house back in the day, looking around in his basement...when I discovered my first raunchy pulp sex novel.
It was an awakening.

It's hard to perform tasteless cunnilingus given the definition.

I think it was acute point but that depends on what angle you look at it from and the degree of your familiarty with my puns.

I've always been fond of Lovecraft's Dream Cycle. The Dragons of Eden by Sagan has been a favorite of mine along with The Demon Haunted World. Larry Krauss has always had a gift for explaining physics in simple terms, even if he is a little toxic these days. He really does have a gift for explaining things in a plain, understandable way that keeps a reader engaged.

@OP
I don't know if I have a favorite book.

Last book I read: Soldier of the Mist by Gene Wolfe
Next in the pile: Network Effect by Martha Wells

The Bible (serious, it has some interesting stuff). The last book I read was The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in 2013. Or a more factual book about dinosaurs either last year or 2918. I don't like reading.

The most thoroughly impenetrable book I ever had to read.

Favourite: The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sacks.
Last read: The Sense of Style by Steven Pinker.

I'm now reading Skyfaring: A Journey with a Pilot. It's a little bit shit. I picked it up in November when I was passing through Schiphol.

Michael Crichton was a fantastic science fiction author. Even if the way he wrote could be convoluted and repetitive at time.
