You get the hologram stuff along with the Spartan web browser.

Everyone is waiting to see if they give the O/S away, in order to compete with Google. Intel has been giving away Atom CPU's to stay in the mobile game.

explain.

i heard windows 10 is going to have "holographic" augmented reality stuff? like for real that's the truth and not just hype like their table-top surface stuff from last decade that became their late-to-the-game tablet?

The headset AR has its own cpu and is stand alone or at least in the beta demo I had a chance to play with - It was connected to a beta XBox with win 10 loaded.

Win 10 as it was explained had holographic applications separate from the headset but none of the MS engineers were ready to answer any questions about planned applications. That was several months ago so perhaps by now they have?

No everyone already knows that. It's a free upgrade from 7 and 8.

Obviously not because then they would not have announced that the upgrade would be free.

I'd probably keep it to be honest. Also, never give me anything you're afraid of someone snooping through.

ah, so the augmented reality stuff will be ready "within the windows 10 timeframe" not "it'll ship with windows 10 at release." got it.

so it's all hype then

MS is at the crossroads to somewhat of a hell. They sat back as Google Android took over the marketplace on mobile devices. MS also tied themselves to Intel which tied itself to MS.

Both are in fail mode as a result. And FuckAlms you might look around at who uses Win 7. Its a mass of companies in Fortune 1000 who refused to switch from Enterprise use of Win 7 and move to Win 8.1

Not only has Intel given away Atom CPU's to get into the mobile marketplace they also have added cold hard cash to make this happen and now admit they have to stop the giveaway as it made investors fucking mad as shit.
> Obviously not because then they would not have announced that the upgrade would be free.

There still is a lot of money to be made by giving it away for free. Most users of Win 8.1 wood need MS help on install and there is no way I can see MS doing that without charging 100+ bucks. Probably more like $150.

Betting there is a lot of battling going on at MS on this.

New Windows brings the funk to your PC. Look at this thing how it looks. Look at this different colour it has now and also this exciting way for you to buy software from us in your OS at any time.
